The Paradiset Sofa is part of the The Paradiset Collection, designed by Kerstin Horlin- Holmquist in 1956. This timeless and iconic collection was created during Holmquist's employment with NK - Nordiska Kompaniet in the 1950's and holds a soft simplicity. All designs are unique in their appearance - light, clean lines and gracious with an air of romance.  She named her pieces inspired by ""Paradiset"" (Swedish name for Eden or Paradise) . The first piece was - the feminine Eva Chair and later followed its counterpart, the Adam Chair. To complement the two lounge chairs she also created a sofa - the Paradiset sofa.  The Paradiset Sofa is a 2.5-seater constructed with a frame of solid beech and is fully upholstered.  The Paradiset Sofa is fully upholstered in a molded polyurethane foam with hand sewn piping, matching buttons and with solid wood legs in mat lacquered oak, walnut, or black stained wood. • Stephen Kenn
Los Angeles based designer Stephen Kenn has long been inspired by clean and simple design aesthetics and the stories inherent in vintage military fabrics. In 2011 he combined those two loves by creating The Inheritance Collection. The collection was the result of an exploration of how furniture is constructed, and then a desire to distill the process down to the barest bones. Likening the process of furniture construction to the way the human body is constructed, the frame, belts, and cushions became the bones, muscles, and skin of each piece.Soft black wool cushion covers, black webbing with black leather belts, on a light brass plated frame.
